the Annual Christmas Dinner. With excellent food,
fellowship and live music, everyone had a good time.

Despite high and very rapid flowing rivers, TCFF Members Mike Winter, Ed Rapisardi, Frank Matousek, Joe Manjoine, Felix Nieves, Steve Lusen and Paul Goorjian enjoyed a week of trout fishing in North Georgia. Many fish were caught but the scenery and wildlife were one of the highlights.

Capt. Rick Burns, a 30 year veteran guide out of Homasassa,
was our speaker for October Wednesday Evening Meeting.  His topic was
fishing the flats for redfish.

TCFF Member Barry Kent doing double duty at the September Evening Meeting
by doing a fly tying demonstration of a saltwater popper and being
the featured speaker talking about his experiences in fly tying and trying to catch a
World Record redfish on a fly rod.

At the September Breakfast Meeting, Ed Rapisardi demonstrated the casting of a switch rod,
which is a rod style between the standard fly rod and a spay rod
designed for one or two handed casting.

Joe Manjoine and Frank Matousek fished on the Withlacoochee River
and many bluegills like this were caught. All fish were caught on the
MCBESLT fly (Minnow Crayfish Bug Eyed Shrimp Looking Thing) which is
a featured fly pattern on the Fly Tying Page.

Six TCFF members recently tried their hand at kayak fishing the
Hilochee Wildlife Management Area. Four bass were landed,
all before the sunlight hit the water, and all on top water flies.

Fishing out of Crystal River, Byron Toutman (pictured with cobia) and
Frank Matousek caught a wide variety of fish. The cobia was cobia on a
Mosquito Lagoon special which Byron tied.

Dick Sisolak and Larry Jordan fished with TCFF Member Bob Hines on the Madison River
and the Snake River in Idaho. When not fishing with Bob, they fished the Henry's Fork and the Madison. The fishing was very productive and the scenery was incredible.
